A Special Day Devoted to Our Two Essential Diagrams and the Two Vital New Categories

For 15 years, two diagrams have served as the guiding principles as to how we understand and work with shame. These diagrams, created years ago, have structured our way ever since. These diagrams are so important and central to our work that we have covered them in every workshop we do. Recently, we revisited these diagrams and added a new category to each to represent new findings and understandings. We have created this one-day workshop to talk about these two diagrams at length and bring them fully to life for our students. We will focus on the two new categories which we have added - “Withhold” to the Reactions to Shame diagram and “Spiritual” to the Utilizing Realms of Experience to Create Optimal Distance from Shame diagram. These new, vital cutting-edge discoveries are ripe with meaning.

The Spiritual Realm was an almost invisible “deep given” all the time, but we hadn’t really named it and placed it in the diagram until now. We can now explain much more clearly how to utilize this realm to help get the client out of the shame freeze. The concept of Withholding has helped us enormously as a couple, both illuminating places in our relationship that had been invisible and now allowing us to talk about them with precision. Professionally, it has helped us in working with both clients and students. When we have talked about it in workshops, everyone has identified with it. Many have said that it has helped them open up misunderstandings and stuck places in their relationships and have surprising breakthroughs.

This workshop is a vital next step in bonding more deeply, quickly and effectively with clients. These concepts can help get your client out of the shame freeze and into building a stronger, more resilient, more creative inner self.
