The Body's Cycle of Learning: A Somatic Journey for Transforming Outdated Belief Systems

  • 13 Jul 2024
  • 14 Jul 2024
  • Seattle, Washington

Our body is the beautiful container through which we experience our life. It is full of information, some related to the present moment, some from the past. There is a constant information exchange between the body and its intricate systems that mobilize our emotions, thought patterns, behavior, health and more. These levels of our existence are connected through a belief system that may be outside of our conscious awareness.

This workshop will explore, through the body, how our experiences are interwoven on each of these levels and why sometimes we are able to learn from and transform experience, while other times we stay in old patterns despite our best intentions for change, which can lead to retraumatization, anxiety, depression, or other symptoms. These patterns hold us back in our lives and keep us from experiencing our vital life energy. We will learn steps to reclaim our joy.

Facilitated by Aylee Welch, LCSW
