Center for Healing Shame Free Webinar: Shame and Coming Out of Covid

A Workshop for Therapists and Other Helping Professionals with Sheila Rubin LMFT, RDT/BCT & Bret Lyon PhD, SEP

1 Saturday, January 14, 2023
10 am–1:00 pm PDT Live

Free.  Live Only and no CE credit

(See website for details.)

As therapists and helpers, we have an important role to play in the process of healing and uniting the country. If we can heal shame, we can focus on coming together and being united, on reaching out rather than pulling in and blaming others, on choosing hope over fear. Coming from a heart-centered place, we will share concepts and exercises to help ourselves and our clients strengthen and replenish in the face of all we have been through, both personally and as a world.

We have gone through unimaginable trauma along with the rest of the world.   Even now, it is almost unthinkable that there was a long-lasting global lockdown and millions died.  We gained a glimpse of returning to normalcy with the bright hope of vaccination allowing us to go back to being social, traveling, and not being in fear of dying, even of no longer needing to wear a mask.

But Covid isn’t over.  And the ripple effect of all we endured continues to be discovered: long covid, loss of social-emotional development in young adults, huge jumps in the number of people with anxiety, depression, and levels of suicide.

This workshop is designed to undo the aloneness and loss we all feel right now by sharing as a community; the workshop will be interactive. Coming from a heart-centered place, we will share concepts and exercises to help ourselves and our clients strengthen and replenish in the face of all we have been through, both personally and as a world.

There is no prerequisite for this course.
