A two-part introductory experiential workshop
Social Oriented Focusing (SOF) teaches us to untie the KNOTS and NOTS that interfere with relating to others, enabling us to overcome blocks, fears, and automatic behaviors. This two-part workshop will include presentations, guided experiences, and time for sharing and questions.
Presented by The International Focusing Institute - Yehudit First
March 9, 2022 and March 16, 2022
Imagine being really present in the here-and-now…enjoying interpersonal moments with the freedom to be yourself, to feel good – to experience surprise and delight instead of repetitive, stressful patterns of interaction.
Social Oriented Focusing (SOF) teaches us to untie the KNOTS and NOTS that interfere with relating to others, enabling us to overcome blocks, fears, and automatic behaviors.
In this workshop, we shall take a two-part journey:
1st part: Conditions for SOF felt-conversation
We will learn to shift from being reactive in conversation to being present and free to communicate authentically. By asking four key SOF questions, we can simultaneously be connected to ourselves and others, experiencing the effect and what it allows to develop between us.
2nd part: Being me while being with you, being you while being with me
Experimenting with how we can bring ourselves in all our parts and vulnerabilities, we will experience how ‘what happens between us’ expands to ‘what can really happen between us’. By opening up to the freedom to be ourselves wherever we go, we can truly meet each other.
This two-part workshop will include presentations, guided experiences, and time for sharing and questions.
All are welcome to attend. Some familiarity with Focusing will be helpful.
