This Integration Circle is designed for women who have had a psychedelic experience and desire a space to process and allow the seeds that were planted then, to bloom now. Psychedelic experiences need, and take time to integrate the psyche and the spirit and the soma. This group will utilize multiple modalities to assist in the integration process.
Please come prepared with a pen(cil), notebook, any coloring materials (crayons, pencils of a variety of colors, pastels, paints), an open heart, and mind. Wear comfortable clothing as some breathwork will be introduced. Pillow and eyeshades suggested for restorative practices. a candle (electric or open flame), an altar item.
Post psychedelic experience, there is much of your internal landscape that may have been revealed to you that you may not have had access prior to the experience. There is a cornucopia of information to process. There may have been emotions, sensations, thoughts, and new understandings of behaviors that now need to be synthesized (or integrated)
Process of integration:
Some people choose to write, draw, sing, create music, records dreams following the experience, talk in therapy, receive energy work, do yoga and meditation, engage in depth psychotherapy, consult with a spiritual teacher or guide as ways of integrating.
Dr. Denise was in the first cohort to graduate from the Center for Psychedelic Therapies and Research (CPTR) at CIIS and provides psychedelic integration individually and in group settings, focusing on somatics and sexuality. She has studied embodied spiritual practices nationally and internationally through research and experiential learning and has conducted and published research on embodied psycho-spirituality. Integrating the whole person, soma and psyche, is integral in her approach to the work she does.
