Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy: An Experiential Introduction

Short Summary: Learn about the basic principles and methods of the Hakomi Method.

Main objectives of this workshop are:

  • To integrate and apply psychodynamic mindfulness in your therapeutic sessions.
  • To use the practice of loving presence to enhance the therapeutic relationship.
  • To utilize Hakomi principles, e.g. nonviolence in therapy, to create safety for the client.
  • To use experiments in mindfulness to discover unconscious material. To use verbal contact that will deepen the client’s experiential process.
  • To discover subtle, somatic cues in the body and its habitual patterns. To use this information to begin to access core, unconscious material. The application of Hakomi skills and principles in the experiential process.
