USABP Spotlight Series with ORGANIC INTELLIGENCE presentS an experiential continuing education program.

Presented by Steve Hoskinson, MA, MAT

This event will be recorded and available for members and non-members who register for this event. This course will not include CEs.

Chaos Theory has been around for a long time, but in this special USABP webinar Organic Intelligence® Founder, Steve Hoskinson will share the essentials to know about chaos for personal healing, coaching and therapy. We’ll learn what chaos is, and what it is not — and how to help yourself and clients navigate the inner and outer terrains of chaos.

When is Chaos at the cusp of a new phase of organization?

When should we encourage “waiting it out” versus trying to change chaotic states?

These crucial understandings will bring new light and liveliness to your work with this paradigm-shifting perspective from Organic Intelligence and USABP.

Main Points of Workshop

▪ State-trait definition

▪ Traits are even more difficult to change than “habits”

▪ Key distinctions: chaos as a state, versus chaos as a trait

▪ Biological description of chaos as state: intensity thresholds

▪ The relationship of intensity to the formation of chaos as a trait

▪ The negativity bias and maintenance of systemic status quo

▪ Responding to chaos: the default mode network

▪ 3 Coping based on intensity level

▪ What if the world is in chaos?

Participants will learn to:

- Use specific criteria for assessing chaos as a biological trait

- Implement coping strategies (for self & clients) for reducing chaotic distress

- Use mindfulness exercises, in session and at home, for stabilizing states

- Recognize how attunement to biological traits can improve outcomes and the therapeutic container and contract

- Use Organic Intelligence® maps to detect state and trait stabilization and growth

- Learn the language and facilitation of Post-Trauma Growth (PTG)
